The Lovettsville Diner is one of the only local diners that serves good ol’ fashioned country soul food. My wife and I make the trek from Gaithersburg, Maryland, to the Lovettsville Diner for breakfast. The service is great, and the prices are very reasonable. If you enjoy classic local diners with a country flavor, this spot is for you!
My friend and I did a late lunch yesterday, May-24th, at Lovettsville Diner. Very mellow, "Mom & Pop" style local eatery. Food is yummy and the portions are really big. I got the fried shrimp basket and my friend got the catfish. Everything was crunchy and flavorful. Side of onion rings were huge, crispy, but not sitting in a pool of oil, like you sometimes find at other places. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. We picked any table we wanted and seated ourselves. Just one heads up. The wait staff are a little older, so they might not move as fast as a 20 year old with New Balances on. And this place can get busy. So if you build that into your expectations for how quickly you might get served, then I think you'll have a very good meal and experience here. 5 stars. PS - Side note. I read an earlier review about visitors being concerned about the Trump flags flying at the gun shop next door. I'm a Dem, and felt perfectly welcome, happy, and taken care of at Lovettsville Diner. I'll definitely eat there again next time I'm in the area.
What a fantastic diner! Everything, especially my patty melt, was spot-on delicious! This is diner food at its best. Super-friendly staff who really care about what they do.
Came here for the first time after church service today. Everyone there was super friendly and our waitress talked to us as if she had known us forever. The food we ordered was delicious and fresh! They were out of their sausage and chipped beef gravys when we got there (our waitress told us the gravys are homemade using her family's recipe) and I'm super excited to try it the next time! Highly recommend!

This was a really great diner I stumbled on by accident. It has that charming small town diner vibe. The food was great, portions were HUGE and the waitstaff were very nice and prompt. Two thumbs up!
Small town diner. It's exactly what you'd expect with great food and friendly service. Hot coffee, good omelet and pancake selections. Biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. Not too many tables so get there early!
